RSM Armenia
 is the first international center of excellence in sustainable resource management in Armenia. For the purpose of recognition by the UN, in March in Geneva, during the Resource Management Week, the founder Suren Mamyan, who is also a specialist in the UN Working Group on Sustainable Resource Management, presented the organization, its goals and objectives, upcoming expected steps, and the work already done, which initiated the process of the Organization's recognition by the UN.

We were pleased to participate in the UNECE Resource Management Week 2026, held from 27 April to 1 May 2026 in Geneva, including the sessions of the UNECE Expert Group on Resource Management (EGRM).
We attended the event as independent experts and founders of ICE-SRM (RSM) Armenia, carrying out scientific and methodological activities in the field of sustainable resource management.During the discussions,
Suren Mamyan, PhD, MAusIMM, MPONEN presented joint scientific work with Anna Sargsyan:“Case Study: Principles for Applying the UNFC “G” Axis in Armenia’s Solid Mineral Classification” The study focuses on methodological approaches for aligning Armenia’s solid mineral classification system with the United Nations Framework Classification for Resources (UNFC), particularly through the application of the “G” axis and confidence-based resource categorization principles. Within the framework of UNECE Resource Management Week 2026 and the sessions of the UNECE Expert Group on Resource Management (EGRM) held in Geneva, Anna Sargsyan, Head of the Armenian Office of ICE-SRM (RSM) Armenia, presented the activities and ongoing work of the Center.The presentation highlighted the mission and strategic vision of the Center, its scientific and methodological activities in the field of sustainable resource management, as well as current international collaborations and partnerships established with other ICE-SRM centers and professional organizations.

Particular attention was given to the Center’s recent achievements, ongoing initiatives related to responsible resource management and UNFC-aligned approaches, and the next planned steps aimed at strengthening international cooperation, scientific development, and capacity building in Armenia.
